The small rectangular engine-turned case with black enamel elongated push buttons on each side, opening to reveal a square case with white dial, applied Arabic numerals, in gold filled sterling silver
Condition
Measuring 46 x 32 x 8mm Signed on the dial: "Kreisler Tavannes" The inside case is signed "1 10 14K Sterling Silver Patent Pending" numbered "23368". The clock is revealed by pressing both black bars, the shutters open and the clock tilts upright to be held in position by the shutters. Engraved "Dec 16 1925-1933", and with the monogram "EBM" stated to be for Ethel Blanche Mullen, owner of New York and Palm Beach couturier "The Sportswoman", in the 1920s-1930s. In good overall condition with signs of moderate wear, the movement was observed at the time of cataloguing to wind, set and run
